Road Engineering Associations of Asia and Australasia (REAAA)
Transit represents New Zealand on the REAAA Council in Malaysia.
The Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA) was established in 1973. It is based in Malaysia and aims to promote and advance the science and practice of road engineering and related professions. It also aims to educate and improve, extend and elevate the technical and general knowledge of those concerned with road engineering.
REAAA (New Zealand Chapter)
Transit established a New Zealand Chapter of REAAA in September 1996. This now operates independently but with continuing membership from Transit. Membership is open to anyone interested in the science and practice of road engineering and related activities. This includes planners, designers, builders and maintenance personnel.
A strong membership from all facets of the road industry in New Zealand provides a much needed forum for the dissemination of knowledge and experience in our roading system. Further benefits of membership of the New Zealand Chapter of the REAAA include:
- The opportunity to exchange technology with the international membership of REAAA
- Access to international technical information
- Access to information from the International Road Federation and PIARC.
