If you don’t, the offence will be recorded and you will receive an infringement notice in the mail. The penalty is $150 and it will need to be paid within a specific time period, similar to normal traffic infringement notices.

The Mana transit lanes are a first for Wellington and to allow everyone to become familiar with their operation, there will be a ‘period of grace’ when infringement notices will not be issued. Instead, a letter advising of the offence will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle as a reminder of the rules.

1) Do you have two or more people in your vehicle?

2) Are you travelling via motorcycle, bicycle or bus?

3) Are you turning into a side road or property along Mana Esplanade?
