Using the transit lanes

Transit lanes operate at specific times of the day, just like clearways, but their unique feature is they can only be used by vehicles carrying a minimum number of people.

For the Mana transit lanes, the rules are simple. At certain times of the day, buses, motorcyclists, cyclists and vehicles carrying two or more people can use the new transit lanes. Solo drivers cannot. This will help to reduce the noise levels for occupants of properties along Mana Esplanade.

Vehicles turning into or out of side roads or properties along Mana Esplanade can also use the transit lanes, inside or outside of operating hours.

If you qualify to use a transit lane but don’t want to, you are able to travel in the general traffic lane.
