Wellington Inner-City Bypass: Victoria Street works to commence

As part of the Inner City Bypass, work will commence tomorrow on Victoria Street, between Abel Smith Street and Webb Street, to re-align the road at its intersection with the new bypass.

This work involves removing the existing pavements, lowering the road surface by up to half a metre and creating the new intersection layout.

The re-alignment should be complete within three weeks, although the completion of the works is dependent on the weather.

Victoria Street will be reduced to one lane outside peak traffic times (4:00pm - 6:00pm) hours for the duration of the works.
