Transit New Zealand advises there were some delays for motorists coming into the city from Brooklyn and Aro Valley this morning.
Transit Project Manager Jonnette Adams says delays were caused by traffic signal setting issues at the intersection of Willis Street and Ghuznee Street. The problem was identified and modifications to signal settings made quickly to address the delays.
“We recognised the problem and will be prioritising outstanding works at this intersection to address the issue,” Ms Adams says.
Alternative routes are available, however, are not required at this time as the changes to settings had improved traffic flows along this route.
Ms Adams urged motorists to be patient and apologised for any inconvenience.
