Transit New Zealand will reopen a section of Victoria Street this week making the road two-way.
Transit ICB Project Manager Jonnette Adams says the section of road, previously blocked, will be reopened on Thursday (7 June), allowing traffic leaving SH1 the option to turn left from Vivian Street and head north on Victoria Street to Manners Street.
This brings the section of road between Vivian and Ghuznee back to three lanes, two travelling towards Brooklyn and Te Aro and one in the opposing direction.
Ms Adams says this change to Victoria Street is one of the last associated with the Inner City Bypass Project. The change takes effect as of 6am this Thursday morning.
